About C S Joinery

Hi, we are a small but well run joinery company. Established in 2005, our workload is largely split between manufacture in our workshop and the supply and installation of hardwood flooring.
Our manufacture normally entails timber gates, doors and we have recently added garden buildings from a simple storage shed to a garage, workshop or garden office, all built to customers design and specification.

Our hardwood flooring is hand finished to order. Various finishes such as distressing, pegging and rosehead nailing are available along with the ability to achieve what colouring best suits your taste, surroundings.
Along with the flooring, we also supply the finishings such as facing/architrave, skirting board and almost any moulding required.

Qualifications and additional skills

When I started college they had just finished the City and Guilds certification scheme so I have what was Scotland's equivalent, SCOTVEC certificates in carpentry and joinery. I attended college for
3 years to achieve this. I then opted to attend for a further year to take an anvanced craft qualification which I am proud to say I passed with a destinction. These qualifications/awards are available to see, as are customer testimonials.

Work history and experience

I served my apprenticeship largely in a joinery workshop, occasionally venturing on site to gain installation experience. Once time served, I decided to concentrate more on site work to gain more experience. My site experience involved mainly second fix(finishing) work.
I also have several years experience installing PVCu windows, doors and conservatories.
